The University of Calgary Research Department has estimated as many as 25% of children suffer from Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) and are seriously compromising their physical health. ARFID is a newly defined eating disorder just recently added to the DSM-5. The University of Calgary has engaged Aspire Hypnotherapy in a new clinical study to study effective treatment interventions with this unique and novel disorder for children and youth between the ages of 5 and 24.
ARFID is a serious disorder in children, it can lead to significant medical complications and to date there have have been very few clinical studies on effective treatment. Aspire Hypnotherapy knows that Hypnotherapy can be effective with Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder and that the earlier this disorder is treated, the easier it is to address the self limiting behaviors and thoughts. Children and youth are ideal Hypnotherapy candidates as they live so much in their imagination. But treating the disorder early, you increase your child's likelihood of being a healthier, happier adult.
